Together, the Public Relations Task Force of Peace Operation Cartenz-2026 Holds a Face-to-Face Meeting with Journalists in Jayapura

Jayapura – The Public Relations Task Force of Peace Operation Cartenz-2026 held a socializing and dining activity with a number of Papuan journalists at the Cantika Restaurant, Kotaraja, Jayapura City, Tuesday (5/26/2026). Activities led directly by the Head of Public Relations Operation Peace Cartenz-2026, Chief Commisioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., took place warmly and full of familiarity with the press in Jayapura.

This friendship is part of the effort to strengthen communication and synergy between the Public Relations Task Force of Peace Operation Cartenz-2026 with the mass media as strategic partners in delivering information to the community accurately, balanced, and responsibly.

On that occasion, Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., expressed his appreciation to fellow Papuan journalists for the support and cooperation that has been well established during the implementation of the Cartenz-2026 Peace Operation.

“Media has an important role in maintaining the stability of information in the community. Because of that we continue to build communication and synergy so that the information received by the community remains accurate and not easily affected by hoaxes or provocative narratives,” said Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T.

In addition to being a social event, the activity is also used as a light discussion space related to the dynamics of news in Papua as well as strengthening the emotional relationship between security forces and press.

The Public Relations Task Force of the Peace Operation Cartenz-2026 also emphasized its commitment to continue to carry out the openness of public information optimally by continuing to prioritize the verification process, validation, and synchronization of field facts so that the information received by the community remains accurate and does not cause disinformation.

This is in line with the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning the Disclosure of Public Information, where public bodies are obliged to provide accurate and accountable information, as well as Law Number 40 of 1999 concerning the Press which emphasizes the importance of presenting information in a balanced and accurate manner.

Head of Cartenz-2026 Peace Operation, Inspector General of Police. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., said that the media is a strategic partner in maintaining security stability and building public trust in the law enforcement process in Papua.

“Synergy with the media is very important in creating a safe and conducive atmosphere in Papua. We hope that this good collaboration will continue to be established for the benefit of the community,” said Inspector General of Police. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H.

In addition, Deputy Head of Cartenz-2026 Peace Operations, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., said that a good communication approach is one of the important steps in keeping the Papuan situation cool and conducive.

“We invite all parties, including media colleagues, to jointly protect Papua through the delivery of information that is soothing, balanced, and responsible,” said Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum.
