Wamena – The Regional Development Planning Agency (Bapperida) for Mountainous Papua (Papeg) hopes that work programs in the region, from the district to the province, align with national development directions.
Acting Head of Bapperida for Mountainous Papua, Marthen Kogoya, stated in Wamena on Sunday that the development direction between the regional and central governments must be synchronized and consistent.
“The work programs prepared at the district and provincial levels must align with the national development direction so that accelerated development can be realized here,” he said.
According to him, to align the development direction, a development planning meeting (musrenbang) for the regional government work plan (RKPD) and special autonomy (Otsus) will be held.
“What we have discussed is part of synchronizing national programs and policies with regional development plans according to real needs here,” he said.
He explained that Mountainous Papua has four main established programs: Smart Papua, Healthy Papua, Basic Infrastructure Development, and Productive Papua.
“These four major programs have been linked together by the district, provincial, and central governments. The goal is for the people of Highland Papua to receive good education, good health, basic infrastructure development, and economic and human resource development,” he said.
He added that representatives from the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN/Bappenas), the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Finance were also present at the Musrenbang for the Regional Work Plan (RKPD) and Special Autonomy (Otsus) meetings.
“The presence of these various ministries is to provide reinforcement, ensuring budget efficiency while also implementing specific policies so that accelerated development programs continue to run in Highland Papua to improve the welfare of the community,” he said.
