Nabire – The Provincial Government of Central Papua held a joint worship service and prayer gathering as a form of spiritual strengthening in facing various development challenges in the region. The event, which took place at the Ballroom of the Central Papua Governor’s Office on Monday, May 4, 2026, was attended by civil servants (ASN), community leaders, and several regional officials.
This moment served as a space for collective reflection, encouraging all elements to cultivate humility, strengthen unity, and build a shared commitment to improving the condition of Central Papua. The scripture taken from 2 Chronicles 7:12–15 formed the moral foundation of the message, emphasizing the importance of prayer, repentance, and collective awareness as the key to recovery.
Several regional leaders were present at the event, including the Regent of Nabire, the Regent of Paniai, as well as officials from the Central Papua Provincial Government. Their presence symbolized cross-regional synergy in accelerating development and addressing various regional issues.
In a solemn atmosphere, the Governor of Central Papua, Meki Nawipa, expressed his hope that every step in development would be guided by wisdom and divine direction. He emphasized the importance of leaders maintaining self-awareness, continuous improvement, and prioritizing the interests of the people.
Similarly, the Regent of Nabire, Mesak Magai, encouraged the community not to rely solely on prayer, but also to accompany it with real action, discipline, and a spirit of mutual cooperation in building the region.
In addition to prayers for regional recovery, the event also served as a platform to seek blessings in key sectors such as education, healthcare, and the protection of women and children.
Through this activity, the Central Papua Provincial Government reaffirmed that sustainable development is not only dependent on physical progress, but also requires moral strength, spiritual resilience, and the unity of the entire community.
