NDUGA – Efforts to maintain security stability while building a harmonious relationship with the community continue to be strengthened by the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force through humanist patrol activities in the Kenyam area, Nduga Regency. This approach is an important part in creating a safe, peaceful, and trusting situation in the community (Thursday, 04/16/26).
In its implementation, the personnel on duty not only carry out security functions, but also actively interact with residents. Through light dialogue, greetings, and open communication, the officers try to be present as a community partner that provides a sense of security and comfort in daily activities.
The presence of the apparatus in the community received a positive response. Residents welcome the approach that is carried out persuasively and warmly, thus creating a more familiar atmosphere and reducing the distance between the security forces and the community.
The patrol carried out is also a means to monitor the kamtibmas situation directly in the field. Until the activity ends, the condition of the monitored area is safe and conducive, without any significant disturbances. This shows that the synergy between the cartenz peace personnel and the community continues to be well maintained.
Head of Cartenz Peace Operations 2026, Inspector General of Police. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that the humanist approach is the main strategy in maintaining sustainable security in Papua.
“The humanist approach is the key. We want to ensure that every personnel presence in the field not only provides a sense of security, but also builds trust and closeness with the community,” he said.
He added that strong security is not only built through preventive measures, but also through good social relations between Cartenz Peace personnel and the community as strategic partners in maintaining order.
In line with this, Deputy Head of Cartenz 2026 Peace Operations, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized the importance of the role of the apparatus as a protector as well as a protector of the community.
“We encourage all personnel to always put forward a humanistic, communicative, and responsive attitude. Apparatus must be present as part of the solution, not just law enforcement,” he said.
He also added that an approach that prioritizes human values will strengthen the sense of togetherness and create a more conducive environment for all levels of society.
Through patrols that are carried out consistently and continuously, the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force hopes to continue to maintain security stability as well as strengthen the positive relationship between the apparatus and the community. Thus, a safe, peaceful atmosphere is created, and supports social activities and development in the Nduga Regency area.
