SURABAYA – Concern for the education of Papuan children again received support from the Pintu Mas Surabaya Social Bhakti Association Foundation. A total of 2,500 school bags and stationery packages were handed over to the Cartenz-2026 Peace Operation Assistance Task Force to be further distributed to children in need in the Papua region.
The handover of aid took place at the Yayasan Yayasan Perkumpulan Bhakti Sosial Pintu Mas Surabaya, Thursday (8/13/2026). The assistance was directly handed over by the Chairman of the Yayasan Perkumpulan Bhakti Sosial Pintu Mas Surabaya, Mrs. Vivian Fan, and received by the Cartenz-2026 Peace Operation Assistance Task Force, Chief Commissioner of Police Bambang Widiyatmoko, S.H., M.M., with related personnel.
As many as 2,500 aid packages consist of school bags and stationery. For the help of stationery, the delivery has been done and is currently in the process of going to Timika to be distributed to the children of the beneficiaries.
Head of Peace Operation Assistance Task Force Cartenz-2026, Chief Commissioner of Police Bambang Widiyatmoko, S.H., M.M., said that the assistance is a form of common concern for the educational needs of Papuan children.
“This assistance is a form of shared concern to help fulfill the educational needs of children in Papua. For the help of stationery, the delivery has been done and is currently in the process of going to Timika to be distributed to the children of the beneficiaries,” said Head of Peace Operation Assistance Task Force Cartenz.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Yayasan Perkumpulan Bhakti Sosial Pintu Mas Surabaya, Vivian Fan, hopes that the assistance can provide benefits for Papuan children in carrying out daily learning activities.
The support, according to him, is a form of concern for children’s education which is realized through the fulfillment of school equipment needs.
“We hope this assistance can provide real benefits for children in supporting their learning activities. Hopefully this bag and stationery can be used well and give encouragement to children to continue learning and achieve their dreams,” said Vivian.
Yayasan Perkumpulan Bhakti Sosial Pintu Mas Surabaya also expressed its appreciation to the Head of the Cartenz-2026 Peace Operation, Irjen Pol. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., who also supported the process of distributing the aid to children in Papua.
Former Chairman of the Yayasan Perkumpulan Bhakti Sosial Pintu Mas Surabaya period 2015–2025, Ridwan, said that attention to education can be realized through various forms of support, including helping to provide the equipment that children need to go to school.
“We hope this assistance can provide benefits for children in supporting their learning activities. We also pray that all Polri personnel who carry out their duties in Papua will always be given strength and health until the end of their term of service,” said Ridwan.
Head of Cartenz-2026 Peace Operation, Inspector General of Police. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., expressed his appreciation to the Yayasan Perkumpulan Bhakti Sosial Pintu Mas Surabaya for the care given to Papuan children.
“We express our gratitude and appreciation to the Pintu Mas Surabaya Foundation for paying attention to the educational needs of Papuan children. We will support the distribution process of this assistance so that it can be accepted by children in need and provide direct benefits,” said Head of Cartenz-2026 Peace Operation.
According to him, support for education is not only related to fulfilling the needs of school supplies, but also shows a shared concern for the future of the young generation of Papua.
“Collaboration like this shows that caring for the community can be done together. We hope this help can be an encouragement for children to continue learning and achieve their dreams,” he added.
For the beneficiary children, the bag and stationery are not just school supplies. The assistance is expected to accompany their activities in the classroom as well as a form of attention from various parties towards their educational journey and future.
The Cartenz-2026 Peace Operation Assistance Task Force then supports the distribution process so that it can be accepted and utilized by children in need in the Papua region.
