Puncak, Central Papua – The presence of personnel from the Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force-2026 patrolling the Sinak District area, Puncak Regency, on Sunday (August 2, 2026), has become a familiar sight for local residents. Through dialogue patrols, personnel not only monitored the situation in the area but also took the opportunity to greet and engage in conversations with community members as they went about their daily activities.
Several residents were seen briefly pausing their activities to talk with the personnel. The conversations were informal, covering topics ranging from local conditions and daily activities to the community’s hopes for a continued peaceful and conducive situation in the area. The interactions took place in a relaxed atmosphere and were part of the patrol activities conducted in Sinak District.
One resident of Puncak Regency, who asked not to be identified, expressed appreciation for the presence of personnel who took the time to engage directly with the community.
“We are happy when the police officers come and speak directly with the community. We can share what we are experiencing and discuss the situation in our villages. Hopefully, communication like this will continue to develop well,” he said.
Head of the Damai Cartenz Operation-2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., said that dialogue patrols are part of police duties that also provide personnel with opportunities to interact directly with the community.
“In addition to carrying out our responsibilities in maintaining security, we also encourage personnel to establish good communication with the community. Direct dialogue provides an opportunity to listen to residents’ aspirations while gaining a better understanding of conditions on the ground, which can serve as input for carrying out our duties,” said the Head of Operations.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of the Damai Cartenz Operation-2026, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that communication between personnel and the community is an important part of the approach consistently implemented during patrol activities.
“We direct our personnel to use every patrol activity as an opportunity to interact with the community. Through open communication, personnel can listen to various concerns and feedback from residents while strengthening coordination in maintaining public security and order within their respective communities,” said the Deputy Head of Operations.
The dialogue patrol took place alongside the daily activities of residents in Sinak District. During the activity, personnel were seen interacting with residents at several locations before continuing their patrol after the conversations concluded.
Through activities such as these, the Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force-2026 continues to provide opportunities for communication between personnel and the community as part of the implementation of police duties in Papua. The activity demonstrates that patrols are not solely focused on monitoring the situation, but also serve as an opportunity for personnel to listen directly to the voices and concerns of people on the ground.
