Intan Jaya – The Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026, together with the Intan Jaya Regional Police and the 1705/Intan Jaya Military District Command, conducted a joint patrol in Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua, on Friday (May 13), to ensure that the public security and order situation remained safe and conducive.
The activity included a joint roll call and security patrols at several strategic locations, such as Bilogai Airport, the market area, and Bank Papua, as well as humanist activities by distributing snacks to children.
The patrol was led by Intan Jaya Police Chief Chief Commissioner of Police Sofian Corneles Akuila Samakori, accompanied by Sector Commander Police Commissioner Syahrial Arditya, involving personnel from Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026, Intan Jaya Regional Police, and the 1705/Intan Jaya Military District Command.
The patrol focused on Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, targeting vital locations that serve as centers of public activity and public service facilities.
This joint patrol was carried out as a preventive measure against potential security disturbances while maintaining public security stability, strengthening inter-agency synergy, and building closer relations with the community.
The patrol was conducted professionally, proportionally, and humanely by prioritizing a dialogical and persuasive approach. In addition to carrying out security measures, personnel also interacted directly with residents to foster a sense of safety and public trust.
Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that the cross-agency joint patrol reflected the strong synergy among security personnel in maintaining stability while strengthening relations with the Papuan community.
“The synergy between Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026, Intan Jaya Regional Police, and the 1705/Intan Jaya Military District Command is an important strength in maintaining a conducive security situation. In every operation, we always prioritize a humanist approach so that the community feels safe, comfortable, and protected,” said the Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026.
He also added that communication and concern for the community are essential aspects in creating a peaceful situation in Papua.
“Through dialogical patrols and humanist activities such as sharing with Papuan children, we hope to build harmonious relations between security personnel and the community so that security stability can continue to be maintained together,” he added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that the joint patrol was conducted professionally, proportionally, and responsibly to anticipate potential security disturbances without neglecting persuasive approaches.
“The presence of joint personnel among the community reflects the state’s commitment to providing a sense of security. We continue to prioritize preventive, dialogical, and humanist measures so that the community can carry out daily activities peacefully,” he stated.
He also invited all elements of society to work together in maintaining environmental security and strengthening unity and togetherness for the realization of a safe and peaceful Papua.
