PUNCAK – In an effort to maintain security stability and public order in Central Papua, personnel from the Enforcement Task Force and Law Enforcement Task Force of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 conducted a joint tactical patrol in Ilaga District, Puncak Regency, on Thursday (May 7, 2026).
The patrol, which took place from nighttime until daytime, was carried out in several areas considered vulnerable to security disturbances while prioritizing a humanist approach toward the community. The presence of security personnel among residents was aimed not only at maintaining a conducive security situation but also at fostering a sense of safety, comfort, and public trust in law enforcement authorities.
Throughout the activity, the situation remained safe, orderly, and conducive without any significant incidents reported. Personnel also actively interacted with residents and delivered public security messages through persuasive and humanist communication.
Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized that a humanist approach remains a key element in every operational activity carried out in Central Papua.
“Sustainable security must be built through a humanist, dialogical, and caring presence within the community. The presence of security personnel is not solely to maintain stability, but also to ensure that people feel protected and secure in carrying out their daily activities. We want the Papuan people to feel that the state is present to provide security and preserve peace together,” said the Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026.
He also stated that routine patrols would continue to be intensified as a preventive measure to anticipate potential security disturbances while strengthening positive relations between security personnel and the community.
“We will always prioritize persuasive approaches and good communication. With the support of all elements of society, we are optimistic that the security and public order situation in Central Papua can continue to remain safe and conducive,” he added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Adarma Sinaga, said that routine patrols would continue to be conducted professionally and humanely as part of the commitment to maintaining peace in Papua.
“We want to show that security personnel are present as protectors and guardians of the community. Every patrol activity prioritizes public safety while building mutual trust. The presence of personnel in the field is expected to provide reassurance and prevent potential security disturbances,” he stated.
He also invited the public to work together in maintaining environmental security and not to be easily influenced by information that could disrupt unity.
“Let us keep Papua peaceful by strengthening brotherhood, communication, and good cooperation between the community and security personnel,” he concluded.
The patrol activity forms part of the commitment of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 to creating a conducive security environment while strengthening harmonious relations between security personnel and the people of Central Papua.
