Timika – Ops Damai Cartenz and the Papua Regional Police together with the Dogiyai Resort Police are currently investigating the fire case that scorched the Dogiyai Regency DPRD office on the trans Nabire – Enarotali road, Saturday (18/3) morning.
Head of Ops Damai Cartenz-2023, Kombes Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.SOS, S.I.K, M.H., told the media crew in Timika, said that the fire incident was currently being investigated and processed at the TKP and several witnesses had been questioned by investigators.
“Please note that the Dogiyai Regency Parliament Building is an old building which is currently not in use. What is clear is that we are currently investigating and processing the TKP to find out whether the burning of the DPRD building was an arson or a fire,” he concluded.
Head of Ops Damai Cartenz-2023, Kombes Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.SOS, S.I.K, M.H., also said that, until now, the burning incident of the Dogiyai district DPRD office has not found any connection with prominent cases in other districts, especially 9 districts which are law enforcement areas by Ops Damai Cartenz.
Furthermore, the Head of OPS Damai Cartenz said that for other areas, especially 9 districts in the Law Enforcement area of Peaceful Ops Catenz, members continued to increase guarding and patrolling.
Regarding the condition and whereabouts of the Susi Air pilot who is still being held hostage by the KKB, Head of Ops Damai Cartenz said, until now Ops Damai Cartenz is still conducting in-depth investigations to detect the whereabouts of the pilot and so far members have been getting closer to the target or where the pilot is being held hostage.
