Timika, Central Papua – Security stability in Papua is considered to be getting stronger thanks to the synergy between security apparatus and active community participation. This was conveyed by Papuan Community Figures as well as the Chairman of the Community Early Warning Forum (FKDM) of Mimika Regency, Lucky Mahakena, S.Sos., M.Si., who invited all elements of the community to work together to keep the situation safe and conducive.
In his statement in Timika, Lucky Mahakena assessed that the success of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force in enforcing the law against armed groups has had a positive impact on the safety of the community, especially ahead of the Christmas celebration.
According to him, the security that is maintained is not only the result of the work of the apparatus, but also requires support and collective awareness from the community to reject all forms of violence and provocation.
“As part of the Papuan community, I invite all residents to work together to maintain peace. With a conducive situation, we can welcome and celebrate Christmas with joy, a sense of security, and togetherness,”! Said Lucky Mahakena.
Lucky emphasized that the success of Operation Damai Cartenz in creating security stability should be appreciated. He assessed that the professional and consistent work of the security apparatus has provided space for the community to carry out social, economic, and religious activities without fear.
The efforts made by the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force have shown tangible results. The situation in Papua is getting more conducive and we must keep this together as a form of our moral responsibility as citizens,” he added.
As the Chairman of FKDM Mimika Regency, Lucky also invited traditional figures, religious figures, youth figures, and all elements of the community to actively play a role in maintaining the order of their respective environments and not be easily affected by provocative information.
According to Lucky Mahakena, peace in Papua is the main foundation in realizing the welfare of the community. He emphasized that the Christmas moment must be a symbol of unity, love, and new hope for all Papuan people.
“Cartenz Peace Operation has given a sense of security. Our common task is to maintain and take care of that peace, so that Papua will continue to move towards a more prosperous future,” he concluded.
