Timika — The Chairperson of the Regional Early Warning Forum (FKDM) of Mimika Regency, Lucky Mahakena, S.Sos., M.Si., expressed his appreciation to the Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz for their achievements in maintaining security and enforcing the rule of law in Papua.
In a statement delivered in Timika on Wednesday (10/12), Lucky Mahakena assessed that the presence of Operation Damai Cartenz has had a positive impact on security stability and the sense of safety among communities in various regions.
He reaffirmed his commitment to continue supporting the Task Force’s efforts and called on all elements of Papuan society to take an active role in maintaining public order, especially ahead of the Christmas celebrations.
“Security and peace are our shared responsibility. I urge all people in Papua to uphold unity and not be easily provoked, so that a peaceful atmosphere can be continuously maintained,” he said.
According to Lucky Mahakena, the professional and measured performance of the Operation Damai Cartenz Task Force deserves recognition, as it has succeeded in creating conditions that are conducive to community activities.
He expressed hope that synergy between security forces, local governments, and the community will continue to be strengthened so that peace and stability in Papua can be sustainably preserved.
