Oksibil- The search for TNI Polri members who were affected by the broken bridge in the Bintang Mountains is still in the search stage (31/01).
The National Police together with residents of the Iwur District are still looking for three members of the Gunung Bintang Police Headquarters who disappeared after falling from a suspension bridge in the area. The search is still being carried out along the banks of the Diguel River, where the water flows quite swiftly.
While walking on the suspension bridge that crosses the Diguel River, the four victims who were the last to walk when they were walking about two meters suddenly a tree that had been used as a place to tie the bridge ropes, fell or collapsed so that they fell into the river, which had a fairly fast current.
Joint TNI / POLRI personnel and the community continue to search for three Gunung Bintang Police personnel and one TNI personnel who fell and were washed away in the Digoel River and were also assisted by LCR boats from the Kodam and drones to assist the search.
When confirmed, the Chief of Police for the Gunung Bintang Police said that from the results of a search carried out by the Joint TNI/POLRI apparatus using an LCR Boat, they managed to find a bag that indicated it belonged to the Gunung Bintang Police Personnel, First Brigadier Yohanes Matthew Langgeng and that the bag had been handed over to the Gunung Bintang Police.
