Jayapura – The distribution of logistics for the Repeat Election (PSU) of the Papua Governor and Deputy Governor is confirmed to be running smoothly. Chairwoman of Papua KPU, Diana Dorthea Simbiak, stated that logistics for 33 polling stations (TPS) in Muara Tami District had been dispatched on Monday, August 4, 2025.
The remaining four districts—North Jayapura, South Jayapura, Abepura, and Heram—will follow on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. Simbiak emphasized that this distribution is part of safeguarding the dignity of democracy, not merely a physical delivery. “These logistics are the soul of the process,” she said.
She also expressed hope that all KPU staff will maintain integrity throughout the distribution process. As of now, Papua KPU has recorded the following progress:
• 473 ballot boxes (23%) have left the logistics warehouse.
• 38,303 ballot boxes (38%) have arrived at the PPD (District Election Committee) level.
• 312 ballot boxes (15.42%) have reached the PPS (Village Election Committee) level.
• 6 ballot boxes (0.30%) have arrived at the TPS (Polling Station) level.
“The rest are still in the delivery process and are being monitored 24 hours a day,” said Simbiak.
Despite facing geographical challenges, Papua KPU is committed to ensuring that all PSU logistics arrive at the TPS no later than D-1 before voting day. “We urge the people of Papua to collaborate and exercise their voting rights wisely and responsibly,” she concluded.
