Jakarta – Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka will conduct a working visit to several regions from June 18 to 21, 2026. According to the Bureau of Press, Media, and Information of the Presidential Secretariat (BPMI Setwapres), Gibran will visit at least five provinces in eastern Indonesia. These are: East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Gorontalo, West Papua, Central Papua, and South Papua. The second-in-command of the Republic of Indonesia will depart from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta. Bisnis Indonesia’s monitoring at the scene shows Gibran arriving at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base at 6:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB). Gibran was seen wearing a white shirt. The Vice President’s first landing will be at El Tari International Airport in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara.
Five students will also be participating in the working visit. The five students come from ISBI, UI, Sanata Dharma, Unsoed, and UPH. “Yes, today we are accompanied by several student representatives. We will be departing for Ende, Gorontalo, and also Papua,” said Gibran at Halim Perdanakusuma, Thursday (June 18, 2026).
During his working visit, the Vice President is scheduled to review the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program in Ende Regency, NTT, as well as review the development plan for the Merah Putih Village Cooperative and engage in dialogue with the community. “So, the government is committed to continuously improving the governance of MBG and cooperatives. We ensure that every rupiah is truly utilized, and most importantly, that it is free from corruption. I believe these steps are crucial to maintaining public trust,” he concluded. In Gorontalo Province, the Vice President is scheduled to attend and open the 17th National Farmers and Fishermen Week (PENAS) 2026, as well as inspect the Bulango Ulu Dam, a strategic infrastructure project supporting food security and community welfare. Next, in West Papua Province, the Vice President is scheduled to inspect the Ransiki Cocoa Production Center in South Manokwari Regency and open the 14th National Church Choir Festival (PESPARAWI) in Manokwari. On the final day of his working visit, the Vice President will continue his agenda to South Papua Province via Asmat Regency to inspect several public facilities, including the Asmat Museum of Culture and Progress, the Sago Field School, Agats Regional Hospital, and the Holy Cross Cathedral Church. “This visit aims to ensure the optimal implementation of various government priority programs while strengthening synergy with local governments and the community, as directed by President Prabowo Subianto,” the Vice Presidential Secretariat wrote in a statement on Thursday (June 18, 2026).
