Behind the Bustle of Keyabi Market, Papua Mothers and Policewomen of Peace Cartenz 2026 Weave a Sense of Safety and Comfort

Nduga, Papua Pegunungan – Amid the lively trading activities and warm atmosphere of community interaction, Keyabi Market in Nduga Regency has become a clear reflection of how local economic activities continue to thrive in a safe and conducive environment across the Papua Highlands. The atmosphere was evident when Policewomen (Polwan) assigned to the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 visited traders and residents at Keyabi Market on Tuesday (June 16, 2026).

As one of the main economic centers in Nduga Regency, Keyabi Market was bustling with Papua mothers selling locally grown produce, including vegetables, root crops, and various agricultural commodities. The presence of the policewomen was warmly welcomed by both traders and market visitors.

Led by Task Force Team Leader Second Inspector of Police Deni Alpianda, S.H., accompanied by Second Inspector of Police Fiona Safitri, S.H., M.H., and other policewomen personnel, the activity was carried out through a human-centered approach involving direct dialogue, community engagement, and personal interaction with residents. The policewomen mingled with Papua mothers, listened to their stories, purchased local products, and gathered aspirations and feedback from the community.

A strong sense of togetherness could be felt throughout the market as traders and officers engaged in friendly conversations. Smiles and laughter filled the market area, reflecting the growing bond between security personnel and the local community. Beyond providing a sense of security, the officers also brought encouragement and genuine attention to residents who depend on daily trading activities for their livelihoods.

Through this activity, the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 also sought to demonstrate to the wider public that Keyabi Market remains a safe place for economic and social activities. Residents continue to conduct business, sell their products, and interact with one another in an orderly and peaceful environment.

In addition to fostering closer relations, personnel delivered public security and order messages and encouraged residents to continue maintaining unity, harmony, and community security together in support of development and prosperity throughout the Papua Highlands.

The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., stated that traditional markets serve as important spaces for building direct communication with the community.

“Markets are places where people gather and carry out their daily activities. The presence of our personnel at Keyabi Market reflects the Indonesian National Police’s commitment to ensuring that residents feel safe while strengthening relationships with the community. We want to show that economic activities in the Papua Highlands can continue to run well, safely, and peacefully,” said Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that a human-centered approach will continue to be prioritized in every operational activity across Papua.

“Building close relationships with the community is one of the key foundations of maintaining security stability. Through warm and family-oriented interactions such as those seen at Keyabi Market, we aim to strengthen mutual trust so that residents feel increasingly comfortable carrying out their daily activities while working together to maintain a safe and peaceful environment,” said Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga.

The activity served as a tangible example that security and community economic activities can go hand in hand. At Keyabi Market, Papua mothers continue selling their products, residents continue shopping, and community life continues to flourish in a warm and welcoming atmosphere reflecting the spirit of togetherness and the shared hope for a safe, peaceful, and prosperous Papua.
