Nduga, Papua Pegunungan – A warm and cheerful atmosphere marked a humanitarian outreach activity conducted by personnel of the Cartenz Peace Operation 2026 in Nduga Regency. The presence of female police officers (Polwan) among local residents brought not only a message of security, but also smiles, care, and genuine human connection that were warmly welcomed by the community, especially children, on Monday (June 15, 2026).
During the activity, the female officers took time to interact directly with residents carrying out their daily routines. With friendly and approachable attitudes, they greeted community members, engaged in casual conversations, and spent time with children who were both curious and excited to meet the officers. The joyful laughter of children running up to shake hands and take photos together reflected the close and family-like atmosphere created during the visit.
Many of the children enthusiastically followed the officers throughout the activity. Through a gentle and caring approach, the officers encouraged them to study diligently, maintain good health, and embrace the values of harmony, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence. Parents also expressed their appreciation for the attention given to their children and hoped that similar activities would continue in the future.
The warm interaction demonstrated that the presence of security personnel is not solely associated with maintaining public order and safety, but also with being trusted companions who listen, care, and build mutual understanding within the community. Simple gestures such as greetings, smiles, and friendly conversations became meaningful bridges that strengthened emotional ties between Cartenz Peace Operation personnel and the people of Nduga.
Head of Cartenz Peace Operation 2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that a human-centered approach remains an essential component of the operation in building trust and fostering closer relationships with Papuan communities.
“We want the community to feel that the Police are present not only to maintain security, but also as caring partners who provide comfort and support. Simple interactions with residents, especially children, are valuable social investments that help strengthen peace, trust, and togetherness in Papua,” said Inspector General Faizal Ramadhani.
Echoing the same sentiment, Deputy Head of Cartenz Peace Operation 2026, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that the humanitarian touch demonstrated by the female officers has helped create stronger communication and closer engagement with the community.
“The closeness built through warm greetings, smiles, and interactions with children represents the true spirit of a humanistic Police service. We hope this positive relationship will continue to grow, encouraging greater public trust and collective efforts to maintain peace and security throughout Papua,” said Senior Commissioner Adarma Sinaga.
Through activities such as these, Cartenz Peace Operation 2026 continues to present a compassionate and community-oriented face of the Indonesian National Police. The sense of togetherness fostered among residents is expected to serve as a strong foundation for creating a safe, peaceful, and harmonious environment throughout Nduga Regency.
