Dekai, Yahukimo, Papua Highlands – The Health Team of the Operational Support Unit (Banops) under Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 conducted medical examinations and health monitoring activities for personnel stationed at several operational posts across Dekai, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Highlands Province, on Friday.
The initiative was aimed at ensuring that personnel deployed in the field maintain optimal physical health and readiness while carrying out security duties and providing services to local communities.
The health mission was led by Head of the Health Sub-Task Force of the Operational Support Unit, First Police Inspector (AKP) Dr. Fajar Audra Pratama, accompanied by Task Force physician Second Police Inspector (Iptu) Dr. Chintya Widodo and Police Brigadier Ivana. The team was supported by Yahukimo Sector Commander Second Police Inspector (Iptu) Basthian Tutupary, Yahukimo Police Intelligence Chief Second Police Inspector (Iptu) Samuel Yunus, Head of the Health Team for the Yahukimo Sector Operational Support Unit Second Police Inspector (Ipda) Dr. Robertus Sindhu Guntara, along with other personnel from Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026.
During the visit, the medical team traveled to several operational posts in Yahukimo to conduct routine health assessments, provide medical consultations, monitor personnel fitness levels, and evaluate healthcare support requirements at each location.
The activity forms part of the ongoing commitment of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 to maintain the health, welfare, and operational readiness of personnel serving in Papua’s challenging geographical environment. Maintaining physical fitness is considered essential for supporting security operations while ensuring effective public service delivery.
Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that personnel welfare and health remain key priorities in ensuring the success of the operation.
“Personnel serving in Papua face a variety of challenges in the field. Therefore, regular health monitoring is essential to ensure they remain in good condition, enabling them to perform their duties effectively and provide the best possible service to the community,” said Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., highlighted that adequate healthcare support is a critical component in maintaining personnel preparedness and professionalism.
“Through direct health examinations at operational posts, we want to ensure that every member receives the attention and medical support they need. The health of our personnel is a fundamental asset in maintaining security and providing a sense of safety for the community,” said Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga.
