Intan Jaya — Efforts to maintain security stability in Central Papua continue to be carried out by the Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force 2026 through a humanist patrol conducted in Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, on Tuesday (12/5/2026).
The patrol activity was led by AKP Syahri Aditya, S.Trk., S.I.K. The patrol was conducted as a form of security presence among the community to create a safe and conducive situation in the Sugapa District area.
Personnel monitored activities at the local market before continuing to Bank Papua Sugapa to ensure the security of vital objects and to make sure public service activities continued to run smoothly.
During the operation, personnel also interacted directly with residents as part of the humanist approach consistently prioritized in the implementation of the Damai Cartenz Operation 2026.
Head of the Damai Cartenz Operation 2026, Irjen. Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that humanist patrols are an important step in maintaining security stability while also building closer relations with the community in the operational area.
“The presence of personnel within the community aims to provide a sense of security while ensuring that community activities can continue properly. We continue to prioritize a humanist approach in maintaining public security and order in Papua,” he said.
He also added that securing community activity centers and vital objects remains a priority in preventing potential security disturbances.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of the Damai Cartenz Operation 2026, Kombes. Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that routine patrols in vulnerable areas would continue to be carried out consistently as a form of protection for the community.
“This patrol is not only focused on security aspects, but also on building communication and public trust toward security personnel. Through the presence of personnel in the field, we hope the community will feel safer and more comfortable carrying out their daily activities,” he said.
The Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force 2026 ensured that similar activities would continue to be conducted sustainably in order to maintain security and strengthen relations between security personnel and the community in Intan Jaya Regency.
