PEGUNUNGAN BINTANG — The Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz-2026 conducted an assistance visit and inspection at the Tactical Command Post (Poskotis) 431/SSP/3/3 of Kostrad Battalion 4 Rajawali in Serambakon District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency, Papua Highlands, on Wednesday afternoon (January 21, 2026). The visit aimed to assess personnel readiness while also providing motivation to TNI–Polri personnel assigned to the mountainous region.
The assistance activity was led by the Head of Operational Support Task Force (Kasatgas Banops) of Operation Damai Cartenz-2026, Kombes Pol. Bambang Widiatmoko, S.H., M.H., accompanied by other task force leaders. This visit formed part of the routine agenda of the Ops Damai Cartenz-2026 Task Force to ensure that security operations are carried out optimally throughout Papua.
In addition to inspecting the post and personnel, the delegation conducted a coordination meeting and goodwill visit with TNI personnel stationed at Poskotis 431 Kostrad Den 4 Rajawali. The activity continued with a joint TNI–Polri patrol in Serambakon District as a demonstration of synergy in maintaining security stability in the area.
The Head of Operation Damai Cartenz-2026, Brigjen Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that the assistance visit reflected leadership’s attention and concern for personnel on duty in the field.
“This activity is part of the efforts of the Ops Damai Cartenz-2026 Task Force to maintain solidarity, strengthen TNI–Polri synergy, and provide direct support and encouragement to personnel who are carrying out their duties in Papua, where they face challenging terrain and complex security dynamics,” Brigjen Faizal stated.
He added that the presence of leadership in the field is expected to boost morale, loyalty, and professionalism among personnel in performing security duties to create a safe and conducive situation.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Operation Damai Cartenz-2026, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., highlighted the importance of fostering harmonious relations among task forces and with regional police units.
“Strong relationships among task forces, as well as between Operation Damai Cartenz and regional police units across Papua, are key to the success of operations. Solid synergy strengthens coordination, accelerates response to situations, and ensures sustainable security stability,” Kombes Adarma explained.
Through this assistance activity and joint patrol, the Ops Damai Cartenz-2026 Task Force reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining security and stability in Pegunungan Bintang Regency and across Papua by prioritizing cooperation, professionalism, and a human-centered approach in engaging all elements of society.
