This commitment is reflected through ongoing efforts to improve the performance of civil servants and to reform public service systems across various sectors.
The Governor of Central Papua emphasized that public service is the core responsibility of the regional government in fulfilling the basic rights of the community. “Public services must be delivered professionally, efficiently, and fairly.
The government is here to serve the people, not to be served,” the Governor stated.
He further explained that improving the quality of public services is a crucial element in building public trust in the government. Therefore, all Regional Government Organizations (OPD) are encouraged to continuously innovate and eliminate complicated bureaucratic procedures. “We urge all OPDs to improve their work systems, utilize technology, and provide easier access to services for the community,” he said.
The Central Papua Provincial Government has implemented several strategic measures, including enhancing the capacity of civil servants, expanding digital-based public services, and strengthening inter-agency coordination. These efforts are expected to accelerate service delivery and increase public satisfaction.
In addition, the provincial government has opened channels for public participation through complaint and feedback mechanisms. “Public input is very important as part of our evaluation process. We want to ensure that the services provided truly meet the needs and expectations of the community,” the Governor concluded.
