Yalimo – As part of efforts to strengthen ties with the community and create a conducive environment, personnel from the Ops Damai Cartenz Public Relations Task Force, Bripda Adhar, engaged in humanitarian interactions with Papua’s mothers in Yalimo, Papua, on Thursday (30/1/2025).
This initiative served as a platform to build closer connections with the community, listen to their aspirations, and foster mutual trust between security forces and local residents.
The Head of the Ops Damai Cartenz Public Relations Task Force, Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that direct engagement with the community, especially with mothers, plays a strategic role in creating peace within society.
“Papua’s mothers are essential figures in both families and communities. They play a significant role in instilling values of unity and security. Through this interaction, we aim to hear their hopes and perspectives on the current situation in the region,” he explained.
In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, Bripda Adhar interacted with Papua’s mothers, who responded positively to the initiative. They felt more acknowledged and valued, leading to greater openness in sharing their thoughts and experiences.
Beyond strengthening communication, Ops Damai Cartenz personnel also encouraged residents to continue maintaining peace and avoiding conflicts that could be detrimental to all parties. Papua’s mothers committed to actively promoting values of tolerance and harmony within their families and the broader community.
Through this initiative, it is hoped that the relationship between law enforcement and the community will grow stronger, fostering synergy in maintaining security in Papua. This effort serves as tangible proof that solidarity and cooperation can contribute to a peaceful, safe, and prosperous Papua for all.
