Jayapura- Chairman of the Sentani Bersatu Prosperous Alliance, Jhon Maurits Suebu, reminded the public to take part in making the regional head elections for Governor, Regent and Mayor elections a success, which is only a matter of days away.
“Let’s channel our political rights in the regional elections for better change,” he said in Jayapura, Tuesday (17/09/2024).
Jhon said that one voice is very valuable for change in the next 5 years.
“The voice of the community is very valuable, so let’s channel it wisely to leaders who are considered to be able to bring about change,” he said.
Apart from that, Jhon hopes that all candidate pairs and the winning team will provide good political education, especially to first-time voters.
“If you campaign, do it well and correctly, don’t bring up SARA issues or hoaxes, because they don’t educate the public,” he stressed.
He also emphasized that the KPU and Bawaslu organizing institutions should work according to the applicable corridors and regulations.
“Good work, honest work, let’s reflect on the last legislative election, there were still many mistakes and there is no need for this to happen again,” he stressed again.
Jhon asked the security forces to act firmly against anyone who wants to thwart the implementation of the democratic party which will take place in November 2024.
“To anyone who wants to thwart the regional elections, I firmly ask that action be taken,” he asked.
