Jayapura- The Indigenous Community Institute (LMA) in the Keerom region invites the Papuan people, especially the Mamta indigenous community in Keerom, to maintain a conducive security situation ahead of the simultaneous Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) which will take place in November 2024.
LMA Chairman Keerom Jakobus Mekawa explained that it is hoped that this five-year democratic party will run well and will not be marred by any inappropriate actions.
“As Chair of the LMA for the Keerom region, we urge the public not to take any action or action that disrupts the implementation of the Pilkada. “The regional elections must run peacefully by maintaining security and social order in Keerom Regency, especially at the border,” he explained, Saturday 14 September 2024.
He said that the regional elections were the national agenda of the Indonesian people and no one was allowed to attend them by law.
“Let’s make the regional elections successful safely, peacefully and successfully under the protection of Almighty God. “Do not carry out additional movements such as security disturbances or other criminal acts that violate the law,” he continued.
