Jayapura – Pratu Agung Pramudi Laksono (27), member of the Marines Marines Yon 7 Marines, died in a gun battle with the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Dekai, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains.
Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Mathius Fakhiri explained that from a report received from the Yahukimo Police Chief, it was revealed that the KKB, Monday at around 11.25 WIT carried out an attack on the Marine post at KM 06.
The attack on the Marine Yon 7 Mobile Pamtas Task Force post located in the new village of Jalan Statistik, Dekai District.
“The victim reportedly died on the way to Dekai Hospital,” said Fahiri quoting Antara, Monday (21/8).
He added that currently Yahukimo Police investigators are conducting an investigation to uncover the perpetrators.
“Currently the security forces at Dekai are still on alert to anticipate security disturbances,” said Fahiri.
