Jayapura – The Yahukimo Police and the Damai Cartenz Operations Task Force some time ago succeeded in raiding a house that was suspected of being a KKB hiding place in Yahukimo district.
During the raid, the police managed to arrest nine people and three of them have been named as suspects in the murder of two Toraja residents in Yahukimo.
Head of Damai Ops Cartenz 2023 Kombes. Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani SSos, S.I.K, M.H. when confirmed, stated that the motive for the murder was a demonstration of the existence of a group of KKB people.
“They want to form their own Kodap and want to be recognized as the 37th Yahukimo-Korowai Regional Military Command by showing their existence through the killing of two civilians who they suspect are undercover officers,” said Faizal.
The Head of Ops continued, “Currently his team is pursuing other suspects in the murder of the two civilians in Yahukimo, and KKB Yahukimo Korowai.
“Currently we have identified five suspects, three of whom we have arrested, two are still on the wanted list. We are currently pursuing the DPO and also the other KKB groups,” closed Faizal.
