Pegunungan Bintang, Papua Highlands — Personnel of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force continued their human-centered approach by sharing joyful moments with children in Oksibil District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency, on Thursday (November 20, 2025), at around 3:30 p.m. WIT. This activity was aimed at strengthening emotional connections between security officers and the community, particularly young generations living in the highland region.
The interaction took place along Kotdol Street, near the Pegunungan Bintang Regent’s Office. During a routine patrol, the task force personnel encountered a group of children playing in the area and took the opportunity to engage with them.
A warm and friendly atmosphere quickly emerged as officers shared laughter, played together, and motivated the children to stay focused on their education and pursue their future goals.
The simple yet meaningful activity received an enthusiastic response from both the children and local residents. Smiles and joyful expressions reflected the natural closeness that formed between the officers and the community. For many residents, the presence of the task force brought a sense of comfort and showcased the caring and approachable spirit of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force.
The Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that such activities are an integral part of the humanistic approach consistently implemented by the operation.
“We want to show that the duty of security personnel is not only to maintain public safety but also to bring a sense of comfort and happiness to the community. Through simple interactions like this, we hope to foster trust and build strong emotional bonds between officers and the people, especially children as the future generation of Papua,” said Brigjen Pol Faizal.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., highlighted the importance of positive communication and social closeness as part of a long-term security strategy.
“We will continue to encourage activities like this across all units. Children are the future of Papua, and by instilling a sense of safety and compassion from an early age, we help establish a strong foundation for lasting peace in this region,” said Kombes Pol Adarma.
Through this heartfelt engagement, the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force reaffirms its commitment to being present among the people—not only as security personnel, but also as friends, protectors, and partners in building lasting peace across Papua.
