Surabaya — Young football prodigy Kesya Arabela Manisyanian from Papua is making waves at the Hydroplus Soccer League Surabaya 2025/2026. Her outstanding performance with Arema Woman FC has placed her at the top of the scoring chart with an impressive 19 goals after the third week of competition.
The 12-year-old striker expressed pride and joy over her current achievement. She shared that her passion for football began in her hometown in Papua before moving to Malang to further develop her talent.
“I’m proud to be the top scorer. I started training at SSB Voltas in Jayapura in 2017–2018. At first, I joined local tournaments, but I moved here because football is more developed. In Papua, leagues are still quite rare,” said Kesya after the match against Star Generation, which ended in a resounding 11–0 victory on Saturday morning (November 8, 2025).
Kesya has set clear personal goals for this tournament — to become the top scorer and help her team claim the championship title.
“My target is to be the top scorer and win the title with my team,” she said confidently.
Beyond club achievements, Kesya also dreams of representing Indonesia’s women’s national team. She was previously called up to join the U-16 national team’s training camp but was unable to play due to her young age.
“I was called and joined the training camp, but I couldn’t play yet because I’m still 12. Hopefully, I’ll get the chance later,” said the player who idolizes Ricky Kambuaya.
