Mimika, Central Papua — A prominent religious leader in Central Papua, Reverend Fhillip Marcelona Leander, S.Th., who also serves as the Chairman of the Central Papua GKO Classis, expressed his deep appreciation and full support for the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force in maintaining peace and stability across Papua. His statement was delivered on Leo Mamiri Street, Koperapoka, Mimika Regency, on Monday (November 3, 2025) at 3:00 p.m. local time.
During the occasion, Reverend Fhillip emphasized that the presence of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force has had a positive impact on fostering a sense of safety and tranquility among the people. He noted that the humanistic and consistent approach taken by the security personnel reflects the government’s genuine commitment to realizing a peaceful and prosperous Papua.
“We fully support the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force in maintaining stability and security throughout Papua. We also stand behind law enforcement efforts against groups that have disrupted public peace and safety,” said Reverend Fhillip.
