Timika, Papua – In an effort to strengthen relationships and synergy with members of the press, the Damai Cartenz-2025 Task Force held a face-to-face gathering with journalists from various media outlets in Timika, Mimika Regency, Papua, on Thursday (October 16, 2025) at 3:00 p.m. local time in the Mimika Baru area.
The event, organized by the Head of the Multimedia Sub-Task Force of the Public Relations Division, Inspector I Gde Pradana Sthirabudhi, S.Ds., was attended by a number of journalists representing different media organizations operating in the Mimika area.
The atmosphere was warm and friendly, with journalists engaging enthusiastically in light discussions about ongoing operations and case breakthroughs handled by the Damai Cartenz-2025 Task Force.
In a separate statement, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that the activity was part of the task force’s commitment to building effective communication and partnerships with the media.
“The purpose of this gathering is to strengthen the bond between media partners in Timika and the Damai Cartenz-2025 Task Force. Through this harmonious relationship, we hope that positive information regarding the security situation and social activities in Papua can be conveyed accurately to the public,” said Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Multimedia Sub-Task Force, Inspector I Gde Pradana Sthirabudhi, S.Ds., who led the event, expressed his appreciation for the journalists’ attendance.
“On behalf of our leadership — the Head and Deputy Head of the Public Relations Task Force — I would like to thank our media colleagues for taking the time to attend this gathering. May we all remain healthy and motivated in maintaining a peaceful Papua,” said Inspector Gde Pradana.
The event concluded with a group photo session and an open dialogue between Damai Cartenz personnel and journalists. This moment is expected to serve as a concrete step toward strengthening collaboration and promoting transparency of information to ensure a safe, peaceful, and prosperous Papua.
