Jayapura–Sentani – A prominent Papuan community leader, Nelvis K. Manobi, who also serves as Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Indonesian Renewal Youth Force (AMPI) in Jayapura Regency and Deputy Chairman of the AMPI Papua Provincial Council, has expressed his support for the Indonesian National Police through the Operation Peace Cartenz Task Force in enforcing the law against armed criminal groups (KKB) in Papua (Thursday, September 25, 2025).
In his statement, Nelvis emphasized the importance of the police’s role in maintaining stability and security in Papua, particularly from the perspective of youth leadership.
“We fully support the Indonesian Police through the Operation Peace Cartenz Task Force in their law enforcement efforts against armed criminal groups that have long disrupted public order in Papua,” he said.
Beyond extending his support, Nelvis also praised the performance of the Operation Peace Cartenz Task Force, which he noted has successfully uncovered several major cases related to KKB activities. According to him, these achievements are clear evidence of the police’s commitment to protecting the people and preserving peace in the region.
“The Operation Peace Cartenz Task Force has worked tirelessly. We truly appreciate their success in taking firm action and solving cases involving armed groups. This is something we must all support to ensure Papua remains safe and conducive,” he added.
Nelvis further called on all Papuans to actively contribute to maintaining peace and security in their communities. He encouraged the public to stand together in creating a harmonious and peaceful atmosphere across the Land of Cenderawasih.
“Let us unite, work hand in hand to maintain security and order in Papua. Through solidarity, we can achieve a Papua that is safe, peaceful, and prosperous,” he concluded.
