From the Eastern Coast of Papua, Two Female Police Officers Bring Hope

Sarmi — In Ansudu Village, East Coast District, Sarmi Regency, two inspiring figures of female police officers brought hope and smiles to the community. They are First Police Inspector (IPDA) Dr. Chintya Widodo and Police Brigadier First Class (BRIPKA) Ita Sombo Allo, two resilient women serving in the Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Task Force.

They were warmly welcomed by the residents, especially children who ran around joyfully on Monday (August 4, 2025). Their presence was part of a free medical service program for the elderly and humanitarian activities for children organized by the Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Task Force.

With kindness, Dr. Chintya examined the health of the elderly, provided explanations, and greeted each resident who came with hope for recovery. Meanwhile, BRIPKA Ita mingled with the children, distributed gifts, told stories, and played while delivering a simple moral message that the police are not to be feared, but to be trusted.

The visit served as proof that behind the uniform and authority lies a caring heart and ready hands to help.

Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by the Deputy Head of Operation, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.Hum., expressed his appreciation for the active role of these female police officers in the field.

“They are not only involved in law enforcement efforts against the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) but also contribute to social and humanitarian services. This shows that Operation Peace Cartenz is not only repressive in nature but also touches the humanitarian side,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal.

Head of Public Relation, Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., added that the role of female police officers in Operation Peace Cartenz carries a special meaning, especially in building emotional closeness with the community.

“Female police officers serve as a bridge of trust between the Indonesian National Police and the community, particularly children and women. Activities like this are proof that a humanistic approach is vital in maintaining security and peace in Papua,” he stated.

In the midst of the activities, IPDA Dr. Chintya and BRIPKA Ita continued serving tirelessly. Their smiles serve as a reminder that devotion is not always on the front line of conflict—sometimes, the most meaningful service is delivered through caring hands and a listening heart.
