Ahead of July 1st, Yahukimo Police Conduct Joint Patrol to Anticipate Security Threats

Yahukimo – In anticipation of the 79th Bhayangkara Day celebration, the Yahukimo Resort Police conducted a joint patrol to maintain public order and security in Yahukimo, Highland Papua. The operation took place on Monday, June 30, 2025.

The patrol was led directly by the Head of Sabhara Unit (KBO) of Yahukimo Police, First Inspector Gidion A. Mara, and involved personnel from Ops Damai Cartenz-2025, the 1715 Yahukimo Military District Command (Kodim), and the Yahukimo Marine Corps.

During his briefing at the pre-patrol roll call, Inspector Gidion emphasized that the operation was a direct order from leadership and was carried out with high morale. Besides commemorating Bhayangkara Day, the patrol also aimed to anticipate potential security disturbances ahead of July 1st, which is claimed by the armed criminal group (KKB) as their anniversary.

“This patrol is part of our duty and responsibility as instructed by our leadership. We carry it out with enthusiasm—not only to welcome Bhayangkara Day but also to anticipate any possible security threats,” said Inspector Gidion.

He also reminded all joint personnel to remain vigilant and prioritize safety while on duty.

“I urge all of you to stay alert and take care of yourselves. Remember, your families are waiting for you at home. Let us carry out this duty together, from beginning to end. Don’t forget to pray—may God Almighty be with and protect us all. Amen,” he added.

The joint patrol was conducted safely and smoothly, reflecting strong cooperation and synergy among the security forces in maintaining stability in the Yahukimo region.
