Cartenz Peace Operation 2025 Brings Joy to Santa Susana Orphanage in Timika

Timika, Central Papua — As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen community ties and promote humanitarian values, personnel from the Public Relations Task Force of the Cartenz Peace Operation conducted a heartwarming outreach activity at Santa Susana Orphanage in SP 2, Timika Jaya District, Mimika Regency, on Thursday afternoon (June 26, 2025).

The event was led by First Police Inspector I Gde Pradana Sthirabudhi, S.Ds., accompanied by six other task force members: Police Brigadier Yoga Yandika, S.H., Police Officer 2nd Class Annisa Mahardika, Police Officer 2nd Class Alfesa Hafiz Bagaskara, Police Officer 2nd Class Irgi Alamsyah, and Police Officer 2nd Class M. Adharmansyah R.

During the visit, the task force personnel engaged the children in a series of educational and entertaining activities. The program began with a warm welcome from Iptu Gde Pradana, who was received with enthusiasm by the caretakers and dozens of children. The children then enjoyed singing together, guessing games, dancing, and playing guitar.

In addition to the fun, the officers also read storybooks about Papua to the children, aiming to enhance their knowledge and foster a deeper appreciation for local culture.

The event was conducted in an interactive and spirited atmosphere. Children enthusiastically raised the Indonesian flag while learning and playing in the orphanage yard, expressing their love for the homeland.

The joyful day was made even more special with the distribution of gift packages containing milk, biscuits, and stationery. Before enjoying the prepared meals, all participants joined in a heartfelt prayer led by one of the children, creating a warm and thankful family-like environment.

The orphanage caretakers expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude for the visit, noting that such initiatives bring fresh enthusiasm and help build stronger relationships between law enforcement and the local community.

Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., together with Deputy Head of the Operation, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum, stated that the activity is part of a humanistic approach in carrying out operations in the Papua region.

“A humanistic approach is key to creating peace and mutual trust between officers and the community. Through activities like this, we want to show that we are here not only to ensure security but also to share love and compassion,” explained Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga.

Head of the Public Relations Task Force of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., added that the event reflects the operation’s commitment to strengthening communication and social bonds within the community.

“We want the children of Papua to grow up with spirit and joy. We are here to motivate and inspire them to remain optimistic in pursuing their future,” said Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo.
