Law Enforcement Efforts Continue, Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Hands Over Yuni Enumbi and Evidence to Jayapura District Prosecutor’s Office

Jayapura, May 16, 2025 — Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 has once again demonstrated its commitment to taking firm action against armed criminal groups in Papua. On Friday (May 16), the Investigation Sub-task Force, led by First Police Inspector Kamaruddin, S.H., officially handed over the suspect Yuni Enumbi, also known as Jumuniaso or Sisapugu, along with several pieces of evidence to the Jayapura District Prosecutor’s Office as part of the Phase II legal process.

The handover followed the declaration by the Papua High Prosecutor’s Office that the case file was complete (P-21), as stated in letter number B-1124/R.1.4/Eku.1/05/2025 dated May 14, 2025. In this process, a total of 36 items of evidence were handed over, including multiple long and short-barreled firearms, a large quantity of ammunition, hundreds of millions of rupiah in cash, one four-wheeled vehicle, and banking documents in the suspect’s name.

“This step is part of the ongoing strategy of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz to enforce the law and maintain security stability in Papua. We continue to build synergy with the Prosecutor’s Office and other law enforcement agencies to ensure the legal process proceeds properly,” said Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Head of Operation, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum.

The suspect is charged under Article 1 Paragraph (1) of Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 concerning the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. The Phase II handover was also attended by Public Prosecutors Ahmad Kobarubun, S.H. and Rusda Sinaga, S.H., who conducted examinations of the suspect and verified the evidence.

Key evidence submitted included two SS1-type long-barreled rifles, four G2 Combat pistols, one PCP-type air rifle, hundreds of rounds of ammunition of various calibers, one Toyota Hilux vehicle, and several bank account documents.

Head of Public Relations for Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz, Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., called on the public not to become involved in illegal activities that could disrupt public order and security, particularly those related to firearms.

“We urge all Papuan citizens to support law enforcement efforts and help maintain a safe and orderly environment. If you see or suspect any suspicious activity, please report it immediately to the authorities,” he emphasized.

With the completion of the Phase II process for Yuni Enumbi, Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz reaffirms its commitment to eradicating armed criminal networks that are disturbing public peace in Papua. All legal enforcement actions will continue to be carried out in a professional, measured, and humanistic manner as part of the effort to achieve a safe, peaceful, and prosperous Papua for all.
