Puncak Jaya, April 28, 2025 — Personnel from the Cartenz Peace Operation 2025 demonstrated their compassion in Puncak Jaya Regency by quickly assisting a resident who suffered an injury. The resident accidentally cut his hand with a machete while tending to his garden on Monday (28/4).
IPDA Deby Taufan, who was conducting a routine patrol at the time, promptly administered first aid at the scene before transporting the victim to Mulia Community Health Center for further medical treatment.
The Chief of Cartenz Peace Operation 2025, Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Chief of Operations, Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., praised the swift action taken by his personnel. He emphasized that such actions reflect the humanitarian approach that characterizes the Cartenz Peace Operation.
“We are here not only to maintain security but also to ensure a sense of safety and provide assistance directly to the community,” Brig. Gen. Faizal stated in Jayapura.
He further explained that IPDA Deby Taufan’s actions are a concrete manifestation of the humanitarian values prioritized throughout the operation.
“We are proud of the dedication shown by our personnel. This is the true image of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) — protectors and public servants, even in challenging conditions,” he affirmed.
Similarly, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Cartenz Peace Operation 2025, Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., stressed the importance of delivering positive information to the public to build trust.
“The Cartenz Peace Operation is not solely focused on law enforcement; it also prioritizes humanitarian approaches. We invite all elements of society to work together to maintain peace in Papua,” said Commissioner Yusuf.
It is known that the Cartenz Peace Operation 2025 is not only tasked with pursuing armed criminal groups but also continues to provide protection and public service to the people of Papua.
