Pertamina Ensures Fuel Quality is Maintained in Papua

Jayapura, KBRN – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Papua-Maluku has emphasized that there is no adulterated fuel (BBM) circulating in the Papua region. Isfahani, the Executive General Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Papua-Maluku, stated that they guarantee that the quality of all products meets the standards set by the government.

In his remarks, Isfahani said, “The distribution of fuel in Papua has undergone strict supervision. We are committed to collaborating with related agencies to ensure that the quality of the fuel we supply is well maintained.” This statement was made during a press conference on March 18, 2025.

In response to the issue of adulterated fuel, Isfahani added that they are determined to enhance monitoring in the field. “We will not hesitate to take firm action if violations are found,” he stressed.

Meanwhile, Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, underscored the importance of fostering public trust in the quality of the supplied fuel. “Pertamina has a primary responsibility to assure the public that the fuel available in the market is safe and of good quality,” he stated.

Ramses also reminded the Fuel Task Force (Satgas BBM) to remain vigilant against potential hoarding and price surges in several areas of Papua. “Effective supervision is crucial to ensure that fuel distribution runs smoothly and prices do not experience significant increases,” he concluded.

With these measures, it is hoped that the people of Papua can access quality fuel without concerns about adulterated products.
