The General Chairman of the Papuan Big Family Association (IKBP), Ayub Faidiban expressed his support for the Free Nutritious Eating Program (MBG) initiated by the government. According to him, this program can provide great benefits for the Papuan people, especially school children who need a balanced nutritional intake to grow and develop.
Ayub emphasized that unity and togetherness must be maintained among the Papuan people in supporting development programs that have a direct impact on the welfare of the people. He also emphasized the importance of the involvement of the local community, especially Papuan mothers, in the implementation of this program.
“We fully support the Free Nutritious Meal Program, but we also want to ensure that the food provided remains in accordance with the culture and nutritional needs of Papuan children. Therefore, it is important to involve the local community, especially Papuan mothers, in the process of providing food. That way, this program not only provides benefits for children, but also empowers the economy of the local community,” said Ayub Faidiban.
In addition, Ayub also highlighted the importance of communication between the central government and the Papuan people, both in Papua itself and abroad, especially in Jakarta. He hopes that the government of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka can be more open in accepting the aspirations of the Papuan people, so that the programs carried out are truly in accordance with the needs and expectations of the people.
“We want the government to be more open to the voice of the Papuan people, especially those who are domiciled in Jakarta. Many young Papuans want to contribute to the progress of their region, and they need to be heard so that the implemented program is really effective and on target,” added Ayub.
With the support of various elements of the community, it is hoped that the Free Nutritious Meal Program can run optimally and really bring benefits to the next generation of the nation, especially Papuan children.
