Deiyai, Tigi Barat, October 12, 2024 – In order to welcome the Election of the Regent and Deputy Regent of Deiyai and the Governor and Deputy Governor of Central Papua, the Head of Tigi Barat District, Demianus Badii, A.Md So., together with his staff held a socialization regarding the importance of maintaining public security and order (Kamtibmas).
This socialization was also accompanied by the installation of billboards at several strategic points containing appeals to maintain Kamtibmas and the prohibitions that apply during the campaign period until voting day.
On this occasion, the Head of the District emphasized several important points that must be adhered to by the entire community and campaign participants, including:
- Strict prohibition on involving school-age children in campaign activities.
- Prohibition on carrying sharp weapons during the campaign.
- Prohibition on consuming alcoholic beverages throughout the campaign period until voting day.
- Prohibition of anarchic actions during voting.
- Prohibition of blocking roads or other public facilities during the campaign period until voting day.
Demianus Badii reminded that the five candidate pairs competing in the Deiyai Regional Election were the best sons of the region.
He invited the public not to make differences in political choices a trigger for division that could damage the values of togetherness, family, and social that have long been preserved since our ancestors.
“Do politics well, correctly, and wisely. Whoever is elected later will be our leader together for the next five years,” he said.
