Jayapura – The Yahukimo Police have succeeded in uncovering a case of serious abuse by an Unknown Person (OTK) against a member of the Yahukimo Police named Bripda Oktovianus Buara.
Yahukimo Police Chief, AKBP Heru Hidayanto, said that his party arrested 5 people with the initials WK, AP, AS, FW and DA.
Meanwhile, two other people are still in the process of being chased and have been placed on the Wanted List (DPO).
“We have confiscated several pieces of evidence,” said Heru Hidayanto, Wednesday (1/5/2024).
He said that the evidence included the stone used by the perpetrators to kill the victim, then a block used by the suspect AS to hit the victim.
“There was 1 jacket that the suspect AP was wearing at the time of the incident, then the sharp tool/knife used to kill the victim was not found at the crime scene and is still in the process of searching for that, we will make a search list for evidence,” he said.
According to Heru, Yahukimo Police personnel together with the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operations Task Force will continue to pursue the perpetrators.
“The two perpetrators will continue to be pursued by a joint team from the Yahukimo Police and the Cartenz Peace Task Force,” he concluded.
The Police Chief appreciated his personnel who had succeeded in uncovering the perpetrators who had carried out serious abuse against their members, namely Bripda Oktavianus.
