Jayapura- Papuan Religious Figure, Rev. Dr. YONES WENDA, S.Th., M.Th., (Secretary of the Synod of the Kemah Gospel Masehi Kingmi Indonesia Church in Tanah Papua.), appreciates the TNI-Polri, Task Force Ops Peace-2023 which has secured the situation in Papua throughout 2023 from the Action of the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB) which has always disturbed the security stability in Papua so far, Tuesday / 5/12 / 2023.
“We know together that, the situation in several districts such as, Yahukimo, Bintang Mountains, Intan Jaya, Nduga, Puncak, Jayapura City, Timika, Jayawijaya and Dogiyai, which throughout 2023 have always been disturbed by armed criminal groups (KKB) and political groups (KKP) but with the presence of the Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force -2023, the situation in the region is now safe and comfortable and community activities have been running normally as usual,” he said.
He continued, therefore, we as Papuan religious leaders really appreciate and give thanks to the Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force -2023, TNI-POLRI because it is in accordance with the verse of the Bible, Romans: 13: 1-2, “for there is no government that does not come from God; and the governments that exist are appointed by God. Therefore, whoever resists the government resists the decree of God, and whoever does so will bring judgment upon himself.” Therefore, the task of the Cartenz-2023 Peace Ops Task Force representing the government is a mandate from God as His representative to provide peace for His people, especially in the land of Papua.
Rev. Dr. YONES WENDA, S.Th., M.Th., again hopes that in 2024, the Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force in carrying out the duties given by God as His representative on this earth can provide strict and measurable legal action to criminal groups in Papua who commit acts against the law so that they can be punished in accordance with the laws and laws that apply in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
