Jayapura- Carstensz-2023 Damai Ops Task Force, succeeded in transferring eight cases involving the Papuan KKB to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) since 4 months into the Carstensz-2023 Damai Operation.
Head of Damai Operations Cartenz 2023, Kombes Pol. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos, S.I.K., M.H., when questioned, said that the eight cases that had been delegated to the Public Prosecutor were cases involving members of the Papuan KKB.
“There are eight cases (KKB) that we have transferred to the Prosecutor’s Office, this is a form of the government’s seriousness through the Cartenz Peace Ops-2023 in eradicating KKB in Papua so that people feel safe and comfortable from KKB disturbances and can carry out their activities as usual,” said Kombes Pol. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos, S.I.K., M.H.
He continued, the eight cases involving the KKB that have been delegated to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) are cases that occurred in the Cartenz Damai Ops Region-2023.
Kombes Pol. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos, S.I.K., M.H., added, The eight cases were the success of the Cartez-2023 Damai Operation for 4 months running from January to April 2023 and it is possible that there will be more.
“The eight cases that have been successfully delegated to the Public Prosecutor will increase. We are still filing several more cases and they will be transferred to the prosecutor. It’s still in the investigation stage,” he said.
Kombes Pol. Faizal Ramadhani, hopes that there will be cooperation from the local government and the community in the cartenz-2023 Damai operation area, so that cases involving members of the Papuan KKB are immediately revealed and processed to be held accountable for their actions before the law.
