Jayapura – The Public Relations Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz has reinforced its synergy with media partners through a gathering and face-to-face meeting held at the Damai Cartenz-2026 Task Force Headquarters in Jayapura.
The activity was led by the Head of the Public Relations Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz-2026, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., as part of ongoing efforts to build constructive communication between security personnel and members of the press in supporting the implementation of the operation in Papua.
During the meeting, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force expressed appreciation to journalists who have actively and professionally reported on security developments in Papua in a balanced manner.
“We would like to express our gratitude to our media colleagues for their support in delivering information to the public objectively and in accordance with journalistic principles,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the Head of Operation Damai Cartenz-2026, Brigjen Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that the role of the media is crucial in maintaining security stability in Papua.
“The synergy between the Task Force and the press is part of our strategy to maintain a conducive public security situation. Accurate and non-provocative information will strengthen public trust in the law enforcement efforts we are carrying out,” he affirmed.
He further added that Operation Damai Cartenz-2026 remains committed to prioritizing a professional, humane, and measured approach in every law enforcement action, particularly in dealing with armed criminal groups (KKB), in order to protect the community and safeguard the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia.
On the same occasion, the Deputy Head of Operation Damai Cartenz-2026, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., conveyed that open communication with the media is one of the key elements in countering disinformation and hoaxes.
“We hope this partnership continues to be strengthened. Good coordination between security personnel and the media will prevent space for the spread of divisive news. Transparency in information is part of our commitment,” he said.
Through this gathering, it is expected that communication and coordination between the Damai Cartenz-2026 Task Force and media partners will become even more solid, ensuring that information delivered to the public provides education, fosters a calming atmosphere, and supports the creation of a safe and conducive security situation in Papua.
