TIMIKA – In an effort to reinforce synergy and foster constructive communication with the press, the Public Relations Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 held a media gathering with journalists in Mimika Regency on Tuesday (February 17, 2026).
The event, which took place at a coffee shop in the Timika area, served as an initial dialogue forum between members of the Public Relations Task Force and journalists who have been actively covering news in Mimika and its surrounding regions.
On that occasion, a statement from the Head of Public Relations Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., was delivered through the Head of the Public Relations Sub-Task Force. He expressed appreciation for the partnership that has been established with the media.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to our media colleagues for their support in delivering information to the public objectively and in accordance with journalistic standards,” the Head of the Public Relations Sub-Task Force said while conveying the statement of the Head of the Public Relations Task Force.
The statement further emphasized that the media plays a strategic role in supporting the success of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, particularly through the dissemination of accurate, balanced, and non-speculative information to the public.
“We hope that our media partners will continue to collaborate in ensuring the success of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 through informative, proportional, and responsible reporting. We look forward to maintaining strong relations and effective coordination in delivering information,” he added.
The meeting also served as momentum to build two-way communication between law enforcement personnel and media representatives, ensuring that developments in the field can be conveyed swiftly, accurately, and in a verified manner to prevent misinformation.
The Head of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Brigjen Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, stressed that transparency and partnership with the media are integral components in maintaining security stability.
“We view the media as a strategic partner. Accurate and balanced information is essential to prevent the public from being influenced by unverified issues. Synergy between security personnel and journalists is key to creating a conducive situation,” he affirmed.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, stated that well-established communication will strengthen public trust in the performance of officers on the ground.
“Through this gathering, we aim to ensure that all information related to Operation Damai Cartenz is delivered clearly and transparently. We open the widest possible space for coordination with our media partners,” he said.
With this activity, it is expected that the partnership between the Public Relations Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 and media representatives in Timika will grow stronger, enabling optimal information dissemination to the public and supporting the maintenance of stable security conditions in Papua.
