Kiwirok — The atmosphere of market day in Kiwirok District on Friday (February 13, 2026) was noticeably more orderly and welcoming with the presence of personnel from the Damai Cartenz Task Force 2026, who carried out security operations from 08:00 WIT until completion.
The activity, led by Second Inspector Yason Pujiharto, S.H., aimed to ensure that market activities proceeded safely and smoothly.
During the operation, personnel conducted not only static security measures and patrols around the market area, but also dialogical patrols by engaging directly with vendors, buyers, and community members conducting their daily activities. The human-centered approach demonstrated the tangible presence of the state within the community.
In addition to maintaining security stability, officers delivered public safety messages and encouraged residents to work together in preserving public order. The friendly presence of security personnel created an atmosphere that was safe, comfortable, and marked by a strong sense of togetherness.
The Head of Operations for Damai Cartenz 2026, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized that securing market day activities is part of the Indonesian National Police’s commitment to supporting community economic activities.
“Markets are central hubs of community life. The state must be present to ensure that every citizen can carry out their activities safely and comfortably. A humanistic approach remains our priority in maintaining security stability,” he stated.
In the same vein, Deputy Head of Operations for Damai Cartenz 2026, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, added that security is not merely about physical presence, but also about building trust.
“We want the community to feel that security personnel are partners. Through effective communication and a persuasive approach, a conducive situation can be continuously maintained,” he said.
Damai Cartenz Operation 2026 will continue to maintain its presence through routine patrols and other preventive measures to safeguard security stability while strengthening relationships with communities across the Papua Highlands region.
