ODC Task Force 2026 Reaffirms Commitment to Peace through Humanist Patrols in Nduga Regency

NDUGA — The 2026 Operation Damai Cartenz Task Force continues to strengthen its commitment to maintaining security stability and peace in Papua through a human-centered approach. On Sunday, January 4, 2026, personnel of the ODC 2026 Enforcement Task Force carried out a joint patrol with the Nduga Police and conducted an inspection of the Krepkuri Police Service Post in the Batas Batu area, Nduga Regency.

The joint patrol was carried out as a visible presence of the Indonesian National Police within the community, aimed not only at ensuring a safe and conducive security situation but also at fostering communication and public trust. During the activity, personnel inspected the Krepkuri Police Service Post, which has recently completed rehabilitation, to ensure it is ready to support police services for the surrounding community.

The Head of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Brigjen Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that Operation Damai Cartenz prioritizes efforts to create sustainable peace. According to him, security stability in Papua must be built through persuasive approaches and sincere public service.

“Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 is present to keep Papua safe and peaceful. Peace is not maintained solely through security patrols, but also through the presence of officers who serve the community with sincerity, respect local wisdom, and build trust,” Brigjen Pol. Faizal Ramadhani stated.

He added that the construction and rehabilitation of police service posts represent a tangible commitment by the Indonesian National Police to providing a sense of security while supporting community activities in remote areas.

The activity received positive responses from local residents. A community leader from Batas Batu, Yohanes Wenda, expressed his appreciation for the presence of the Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 Task Force. According to him, the approach adopted by security personnel has brought positive changes to the community’s sense of safety.

“We see the police present in a respectful and friendly manner. The patrols make us feel calm, and the construction of this service post is very helpful for the community. Operation Damai Cartenz brings peace and hope to us,” Yohanes Wenda said.

Throughout the activity, the situation remained safe and conducive. The joint patrol and inspection of service facilities form part of the ongoing commitment of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 to maintaining Papua as a safe, peaceful, and harmonious region through a humanist approach oriented toward public service.
