Sinak, Papua, Indonesia — Amid ongoing security operations in Sinak District, Puncak Regency, Papua, personnel of the Indonesian National Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) demonstrated a strong humanitarian commitment by providing medical assistance to local residents, Tuesday (January 20, 2026).
The presence of Brimob personnel was felt not only as a security force maintaining regional stability, but also as a source of care and relief for communities with limited access to healthcare services. One local resident, identified by the initials A.M. (33), received wound treatment directly from Brimob personnel as part of their social responsibility in the area.
The medical assistance was delivered in a professional and compassionate manner, accompanied by warm communication that helped the resident feel safe and cared for. This simple yet meaningful interaction reflected Brimob’s commitment to standing alongside the community beyond its core security mandate.
Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that humanitarian services are an integral part of peace-building efforts in Papua.
“We want communities to feel that the presence of the police is not solely about security operations, but also about caring, helping, and strengthening the people,” he stated.
According to him, genuine trust between security forces and local communities is essential for sustainable peace. By addressing basic humanitarian needs, the Indonesian National Police aim to foster a holistic sense of safety and long-term harmony.
Through such initiatives, Brimob continues to reaffirm its role as protector, guardian, and servant of the people, contributing to peace and social resilience in Papua.
