Jayapura – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku ensures the readiness and smooth supply of fuel oil (BBM) to support the implementation of the Free Homecoming Program for Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 in Papua Province. This support is given to ensure the smooth operation of the sea and land transportation modes used in the program.
As the initial stage, Pertamina has distributed as much as 30 thousand liters of fuel for two fleets of ships, namely the Cantika Lestari 77 Ship and the Cantika Lestari 88 Ship, which serve the homecoming route through the sea route. The two ships were officially released by the Deputy Governor of Papua on Wednesday (12/17/2025).
The distribution of fuel is an important part in ensuring that travelers’ trips are safe, smooth, and on time, especially for people who use sea transportation to various regions in Papua.
Not only focusing on sea routes, Pertamina Patra Niaga also ensures the availability of Fuel for the Free Homecoming Program using the DAMRI Bus fleet. The operation of this bus is scheduled to take place on December 20–31, 2025 and January 3–12, 2026, serving a number of strategic routes.
For the Jayapura-Sarmi, Jayapura-Senggi and Jayapura-Taja routes, 20 bus units are prepared with an average fuel requirement of 2,200 liters per day. Meanwhile, the Biak-Sorendiweri route is served by two bus units with a fuel requirement of around 90 liters per day.
Pertamina expressed its commitment to continue monitoring and coordination with related parties to ensure that the distribution of fuel runs optimally during the homecoming period. This step is carried out as a form of support for the local government’s policy in providing free homecoming services for the community, as well as ensuring the smooth flow of transportation during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Through the readiness of this energy supply, Pertamina hopes that the Free Homecoming Program in Papua can run safely, comfortably, and provide real benefits for the community, especially in easing the burden of travel costs and facilitating the mobility of residents during the momentum of religious holidays and the turn of the year.
