Timika — Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 continues to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening the local economy by supporting Papuan UMKM. On Tuesday (December 16, 2025), personnel from the Head of Public Relation conducted direct purchases of locally made handicrafts in Timika, Central Papua.
Led by Iptu I Gde Pradana Sthirabudhi, S.Ds., the team purchased traditional Papuan mini statues and handmade noken bags at several locations, including Jalan SP 5 and Jalan Belibis.
The noken bags were handcrafted by local Papuan women who rely on UMKM activities as their primary source of income.
Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized that supporting local products is an important part of improving community welfare.
“By purchasing local products, we aim to help Papuan UMKM grow sustainably and strengthen the local economy,” he said.
