Pegunungan Bintang — The Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Task Force continues to prioritize a humanitarian approach in maintaining security stability across the Papua Highlands region. Through a humanitarian patrol activity, Task Force personnel visited Apom Village, Kiwirok District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency, on Thursday (11/12/2025).
The patrol was led directly by IPDA Munawar and carried out by fostering relaxed, friendly, and open communication with local residents. During the patrol, Task Force personnel distributed light snacks to community members, particularly children, while engaging in informal conversations to absorb public aspirations and ensure that the local security situation remained conducive.
This approach forms part of the Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Task Force’s strategy to strengthen emotional bonds and mutual trust between security forces and the community, especially in mountainous areas that present distinct geographical challenges.
The Head of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that humanitarian patrols are a crucial component of sustainable security efforts in Papua.
“Security is not built solely through the presence of armed personnel, but also through trust and closeness with the community. Humanitarian patrols such as this serve as a means to strengthen relationships and ensure that the public feels safe and protected,” Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani stated.
He added that the humane presence of security personnel among the community also represents a tangible manifestation of the state’s commitment to serving and protecting all Papuans without exception.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., conveyed that a persuasive and dialogical approach will remain a priority for the Task Force across all areas of assignment.
“Through humanitarian patrols, our personnel not only maintain security but also build two-way communication with the community. We want to listen directly to the aspirations of residents and ensure that the Task Force’s presence delivers a sense of safety and real benefits,” Chief Commissioner Adarma Sinaga explained.
According to him, such activities also function as an early preventive measure against potential security disturbances by emphasizing togetherness and mutual understanding.
Throughout the humanitarian patrol, local residents warmly welcomed the presence of the Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Task Force personnel and expressed hope that similar activities would continue on a regular and sustainable basis.
