On this occasion, the Deputy Chief emphasized that the security situation in Papua is currently stable, thanks to the close cooperation between the police, local government, and the community.

“This is concrete proof that security and public order in Papua is not the result of one party alone, but the collective work of all stakeholders. Motorcycle taxi communities, security guards, fishermen, farmers, RAPI, ORARI, MSMEs—everyone is involved. This is Papua’s strength,” said Commissioner General Dedi.

He also conveyed his gratitude to the district and city governments as well as the Governor of Papua for their support, enabling this large-scale assembly to run safely and successfully.

He further stated that ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations, Papua remains safe and ready for increased public activities.

“Alhamdulillah, Papua is in a very conducive condition. We all hope that the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations will run smoothly and peacefully,” he added.

“We certainly hope nothing unwanted occurs. But should there be an emergency situation, the Papua Regional Police are fully ready with personnel, facilities, and operational capabilities,” he stressed.

In closing, he expressed deep condolences for the recent tragedies in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

“We share our condolences. May our brothers and sisters be given strength and resilience to overcome this trial,” said Commissioner General Dedi.

The Presisi Kamtibmas Partner Assembly in Papua stands as clear evidence of the unity and collaboration among all community elements in maintaining security. The police reaffirm their commitment to strengthening partnerships and delivering the best services for a safe, productive, and comfortable Papua for all its residents.
